Shearwater Geoservices has completed a 3D marine seismic survey offshore Nigeria on behalf of TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited and Matrix Energy. The survey covered blocks OML 100 and OPL 2010 and was carried out in partnership with Harvex Geosolutions.
The two-month programme acquired high-quality 3D data using a towed-streamer configuration with undershoot acquisition. According to Shearwater, the SW Duchess acted as the primary seismic vessel, while the SW Gallien served as the dedicated source vessel.
The completion of the survey also underlines ongoing exploration and development interest offshore Nigeria and supports Shearwater’s wider activity across West Africa. The company said the work builds on its growing footprint in Nigeria and follows an expanding sequence of regional projects.
