Searcher has released an upgraded version of its Searcher Live mobile application, providing users with real-time information on seismic surveys, vessel movements and global exploration activity.
Designed for geoscientists, exploration managers, new ventures teams and other upstream professionals, the app shows where seismic acquisition is taking place, which vessels are operating and the companies involved in individual survey programmes.
The upgraded version features a redesigned interface intended to make it easier to monitor active seismic campaigns and identify emerging areas of exploration activity. Users can access survey and vessel information from a single mobile platform while away from their main desktop systems.
Searcher Live is powered by the company’s SeisIntel platform, which provides live and historical information on marine surveys and seismic-vessel deployment. SeisIntel combines vessel-positioning information with survey navigation, operator details and wider exploration intelligence.
Searcher Managing Director Alan Hopping said the upgraded app offered users a quick way to remain connected to global seismic exploration activity. He added that access to timely intelligence was becoming increasingly important as exploration programmes evolved across different basins and regions.
The application provides a mobile entry point to the wider SeisIntel system, which can be used to monitor active and historical surveys, analyse vessel deployment and review the performance of the global seismic fleet.
The relaunched Searcher Live app is available free of charge for iOS and Android devices through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
