Trillion Energy International has finalised the design and tender documentation for a new 40 km 2D seismic acquisition programme on the M47c,d oil block in southeastern Türkiye. Acquisition is targeted for late summer 2026 and is expected to take approximately six weeks.
The survey will cover three priority exploration areas, including the South Lead near the block’s southeastern boundary and the North discovery area around the Çetinkaya-1 and Çetinkaya-2 wells drilled in 2025. The seismic lines have also been positioned to tie into recent discoveries on an adjacent block.
The programme follows field scouting and a high-resolution gravity study that identified fault-related structures and priority exploration leads across the licence. Trillion said the new seismic data should improve subsurface imaging in areas that have so far been insufficiently resolved and support the selection of future drilling locations.
The M47 Block lies in the Cudi-Gabar petroleum province, around 11 km from the Şehit Aybüke Yalçın field. Trillion reports a 2C contingent resource of 27.6 million barrels for the North discovery and total unrisked resource potential of 51.6 million barrels net to the company across three prospects. These figures are resource estimates rather than reserves and remain subject to exploration and development risk.
