Shell EP Offshore Ventures Limited (SEPOV) has issued an expression of interest for a planned land 3D seismic acquisition programme in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region.
The indicative scope covers approximately 1,500 km² of full-fold 3D seismic acquisition using Vibroseis and a low-frequency sweep. Field operations are being considered for either a spring–summer or autumn–winter window in 2027, with the questionnaire defining start dates of May and 1 December, respectively.
The pre-qualification questionnaire asks prospective suppliers to demonstrate the ability to provide at least 10 vibrators rated at 60,000 lb or more and 35,000 seismic nodes. It also sets local-content, HSE and regional-experience requirements, including a minimum 95% Kazakhstani workforce share, subject to stated exclusions.
