TGS and Geophysical Technology Inc. (GTI) have signed a four-year strategic collaboration agreement to pursue seismic acquisition projects across land, transition-zone, shallow-water and deepwater environments.
The partnership brings together TGS’ deepwater vessels, ocean-bottom node assets and marine project-management capabilities with GTI’s proprietary NuSeis nodal technology, specialised vessels and experience in land, transition-zone and shallow-water operations.
For operators, the combined offering could support more coordinated acquisition across technically and operationally complex settings where survey areas extend from the shoreline into deeper water. A continuous approach across these environments may improve survey design, data consistency and operational efficiency, while reducing the need to manage multiple acquisition providers.
The companies will assess opportunities individually, focusing on projects where their complementary technologies and regional capabilities can provide an integrated seismic solution.
