Viridien and Senegal’s national petroleum company PETROSEN have signed a strategic multi-client partnership covering the Senegalese sector of the wider MSGBC Basin.
The collaboration will combine Viridien’s seismic imaging and data analytics capabilities with PETROSEN’s regional geological knowledge. Its aim is to improve the availability and quality of subsurface information, strengthen regional characterisation and support more informed exploration and investment decisions.
The MSGBC Basin extends across Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Guinea and includes established discoveries alongside substantial underexplored acreage. Improved regional seismic products and integrated subsurface studies could help clarify basin architecture, petroleum systems and remaining play potential.
The agreement establishes a framework for future multi-client activity; details of the datasets, geographical coverage and project schedules have yet to be announced.
