If you have attended a session at any of our events that involved a convener, or if you have attended a webinar, or if you submitted a paper or an article for review; if you have had a conversation with any of our Board Members, you have interacted with one of our many amazing volunteers.
This year, EAGE introduced the Volunteering Recognition Programme to celebrate the dedication of members who are active volunteers to formally acknowledge their contributions.
For this reason, we are dedicating this space to the incredible hearts who make it all happen: our volunteers. Over 700 members in 2025 served in many different roles such as, committee chair or member, journal editor/reviewer, dedicated session / workshop convenor, local or student chapter leader, judge of student competitions, mentor, technical programme reviewer and many more.
Behind every conference, event, mentorship programme, webinar, course and successful gathering at EAGE, there is a volunteer who chooses to share their time, passion, knowledge, and expertise. Your dedication not only keeps our association running, it actively drives the global geoscience and engineering community forward and it inspires the next generation of professionals.
To everyone who lent their hand, mind, and heart to EAGE this year: thank you. We are immensely proud to work alongside you, and we look forward to everything we will continue to build together.
If you already volunteer, we hope you'll continue your journey with us in 2026. By keeping your EAGE membership active, you'll be able to participate in next year's Volunteering Recognition Programme and enjoy the benefits that come with each recognition tier.
If you wish to become a volunteer, many roles are open!
