TGS has launched Gemini X, combining its Gemini Enhanced Frequency Source with Apparition encoded-acquisition and source-separation technology to enable multiple seismic sources to operate simultaneously.
The system is designed to improve the operational efficiency of ocean-bottom node surveys while preserving broadband fidelity and the extended low-frequency content required for advanced imaging and full-waveform inversion.
TGS says this could make OBN acquisition more practical at basin scale, including in complex subsalt and frontier exploration settings.
Following testing in the US Gulf, Gemini X is now available globally.
