TGS announced on May 6th a change in its executive management structure to further sharpen strategic focus and accelerate delivery across its business. Effective 1 June 2026, Mohammed Hegazy is appointed Executive Vice President, Imaging, and Wadii El Karkouri will assume the role of Executive Vice President, Technology.
This transition reflects TGS’ continued evolution toward a more focused operating model, with dedicated leadership across Imaging and Technology. The structure is designed to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen execution and support long-term technology development, particularly related to AI-enabled efficiency measures and business models.
Mohammed Hegazy will lead the Imaging business unit, with a focus on delivering high-quality imaging solutions, scaling operations across regions, and strengthening TGS’ position as a trusted partner for advanced subsurface imaging. Mohammed brings more than 20 years of experience across seismic acquisition, processing, advanced imaging, and digital solutions. He joined TGS in 2024 as Vice President for North America and Global Software Solutions, where he has led initiatives focused on operational excellence, innovation, and next-generation imaging delivery.
Wadii El Karkouri will lead the Company’s new Technology initiatives , advancing TGS’ technology strategy, including the development of AI-driven solutions and new digital capabilities to support the evolving needs of the energy industry. Wadii has been with TGS since 2024 and brings more than 25 years of experience in energy and technology. Prior to joining TGS, he held senior roles at SLB and Amazon Web Services, focused on technology and digital solutions.
