Sercel has secured a one-year contract from ExxonMobil Global Projects to deploy its Marlin maritime operations platform for the Whiptail development in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana.
The software will support the management of simultaneous operations during pipelay and mooring installation campaigns.
Marlin provides a live, time-based geospatial view of concurrent offshore activities. The platform is designed to give project teams greater awareness of vessels and other assets, supporting the planning, coordination and safe execution of operations in busy offshore environments.
The contract includes full system configuration, user onboarding, operational reviews and round-the-clock operational support.
Jérôme Denigot, CEO of Sercel, said offshore activity was accelerating across Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and West Africa, increasing the need for tools capable of coordinating complex maritime operations. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
