TGS has completed the sale of its North American well data products business to Enverus for a purchase price of more than USD 100 million, with an additional USD 15 million earn-out tied to agreed milestones. The transaction includes the A2D business, which comprises one of the industry's largest commercial well log libraries and associated well data products.
According to TGS, the divestment supports its strategy of portfolio optimisation and reinforces its focus on offshore geophysical services, following recent investments in ocean-bottom node (OBN) technology, streamer acquisition, multi-client data and advanced imaging. TGS will retain a licence to use the A2D well log library internally to continue enhancing its seismic data products.
For Enverus, the acquisition expands its subsurface data offering by integrating the A2D well log library with its broader energy intelligence platform, bringing together geological, operational and commercial datasets for energy workflows.
