TGS has been awarded a contract by the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam to undertake a new multi-client 3D seismic survey offshore Brunei. The project includes seismic acquisition, processing and marketing of the resulting dataset under a multi-client model.
The new survey is designed to provide modern, high-resolution 3D seismic data to support exploration across Brunei's offshore basins. By improving subsurface imaging and reducing geological uncertainty, the dataset is expected to help exploration companies better evaluate reservoir potential, mature exploration leads and support investment decisions ahead of future licensing rounds.
The award forms part of the Petroleum Authority's broader strategy to encourage upstream investment and unlock additional exploration opportunities in Brunei Darussalam. For TGS, the project expands its existing multi-client portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region and strengthens its presence in one of Southeast Asia's long-established hydrocarbon provinces.
