Equinor and partners Petoro and TotalEnergies have discovered oil and gas at the Grimsnes prospect near the Oseberg field in the Norwegian North Sea. The preliminary estimate is 19–50 million barrels of recoverable oil equivalent. Equinor plans to mature the discovery for a potential tieback to existing subsea facilities and the Oseberg Sør platform.
In a separate update, Aker BP reported average equity production of 374,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the third quarter, down from 383,600 in the previous quarter. Net volumes sold rose to 395,700 boe per day, including higher liquids sales, reflecting an overlift of 21,400 boe per day. Realised liquids prices declined to US$100.60 per boe from US$107.90, while gas prices increased.
