Colombian geophysical services company Vector Geophysical has purchased 30,000 STRYDE Halo-Connect land seismic nodes and a Nimble Receiver System, significantly expanding its high-density seismic acquisition capacity.
The deal is STRYDE’s first large-scale Halo-Connect order since the technology was launched in June 2026 at the EAGE Annual in Aberdeen. The equipment will initially be deployed on a project for Parex Resources in Colombia.
Combining Halo-Connect with the Nimble system will allow Vector Geophysical to rotate up to 3,780 nodes per day, reducing field logistics and accelerating survey delivery.
Felipe Lizarralde, CEO of Vector Geophysical, said: “Our investment in STRYDE’s latest technology played an important role in securing this project. It provides a faster, more integrated way to manage high-density seismic programmes from the field through to data delivery.”
Vector also plans to use STRYDE Lens, which enables seismic data to be processed remotely while acquisition is under way. This will provide field teams with near-real-time visibility of data quality and allow potential problems to be identified earlier.
