The AUSTRALIS database consists of revised and updated geological data for more than 2000 wells across the North West Shelf, Perth, and Otway basins, with additional basins to come.
The datasets incorporate standardized biostratigraphic, lithostratigraphic and sequence stratigraphic frameworks across all basins. In addition, AUSTRALIS includes digital logs, checkshot and deviation data, vitrinite reflectance and rock eval pyrolysis, plus core points. DST and RFT points are being added.
MGPalaeo said that it reviews all available palynological data to improve its correlations and interpretations and that sedimentologists routinely update the database with direct observations from newly released cores.
