Polarcus has been awarded an XArray 3D marine seismic acquisition project in West Africa starting in October 2020 with an expected duration of two months.
The company is also offering its Cygnus multi-client 3D dataset ahead of Western Australia’s licensing round for new offshore acreage. The areas on offer include blocks AC20-4 and AC20-5 in the Vulcan Sub-Basin, which had previously been considered non prospective when reviewed using legacy data. The new Cygnus data shows a number of new leads, such as the deep Permian carbonates and Jurassic sand bodies now seen in the Swan Graben. Bidding for these blocks will close on 1 June 2021.
